Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is seeking a Tray Pack Technician to join our team. You are responsible for maximizing uptime, seal integrity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of the Ossid heat sealing tray packing lines through disciplined preventative maintenance, early fault detection, and rapid corrective action. As the Tray Pack Technician, you will: Perform maintenance and repair on all tray pack equipment and machinery, including conveyors, tables, Bizerba systems, and related equipment. Follow and complete daily maintenance and repair schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and servicing Diagnose mechanical issues, replace or repair defective parts, and test equipment performance. Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues to management promptly. Support troubleshooting activities and assist in training machine operators on proper equipment use. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times. Participate in meetings related to operations, continuous improvement, food safety, and quality initiatives. Requirements: Previous maintenance experience in food processing or manufacturing preferred. Basic computer skills (MS Office) and familiarity with process improvement tools. Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Physically demanding role (lifting over 50 lbs, standing, bending, reaching). Work in cold or variable temperatures with exposure to noise, dust, and biological materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
