Eden Valley Poultry Inc. is seeking a Shunter to join our team. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of trailers in the shipping yard, pallet and reusable combo repairs including the inspection, quality sorting, inventory, and maintenance of hardwood and softwood pallets. As a processor of chicken and turkey for our Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island farmers, Eden Valley Poultry is unique in the industry. As a Shunter you will: • Operate straight trailers safely and efficiently. • Perform basic maintenance tasks; plastic welding is an asset. • Follow health and safety regulations. • Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders. • Meet deadlines and work well under pressure. • Work independently and collaboratively. • Position Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Valid Nova Scotia Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Brakes. • Clean Driver’s Abstract. • Experience driving straight trailers. • Basic maintenance knowledge. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including weekends and holidays as needed.
