Eden Valley Poultry Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. You will be reporting to the Human Resources Manager. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and administration of human resources programs and initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, recognition, and employee relations. Other duties will be assigned, as necessary. As a processor of chicken and turkey for our Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island farmers, Eden Valley Poultry is unique in the industry. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will: Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation in compliance with legislative and company requirements. Administer and maintain HR systems and databases to ensure up-to-date employee information and reporting accuracy. Support attendance management, corrective action processes, and related documentation. Ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and collective agreements Coordinate and support onboarding, employee transitions, and offboarding activities, including orientation materials. Provide support in employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and union-related processes. Collaborate with workforce planning and development teams by providing HR data, reports, scheduling support, training records, and labour cost information. Assist with compliance-related activities, including immigration programs (AIP/LMIA), benefits administration, and policy adherence. Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, service awards, milestones, and retirement activities. Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, disability claims, and accident or death claims. Deliver timely, professional, and customer-focused HR support to employees, leaders, and internal stakeholders. Promote and comply with all health & safety, quality, food safety (GMP/BRC), environmental, and audit requirements, and participate in related meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 5 years of HR experience; post-secondary diploma in a related field or equivalent experience required. CPHR designation (or in progress) is an asset. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, procedures, and collective agreements. Proven ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Proficient in MS Office and HR systems; continuous improvement experience is an asset. Office-based role; overtime may be required.
