Eden Valley Poultry Inc. is seeking an Acclimatization Worker to join our team.
You will be reporting to the Live Haul Manager.
As an Acclimatization Worker, you are responsible for the safe handling of live
birds in acclimatizing, ensuring compliance with the animal welfare program.

Responsibilities:
•
Unload and stage live bird modules using a forklift.
•
Wash and sanitize live haul trailers.
•
Reload empty modules and maintain clean tarps.
•
Monitor staged birds and ensure proper handling.
•
Complete required paperwork, including HACCP forms.
•
Follow departmental policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
•
Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
•
Qualifications and Requirements:
•
Some related experience; heavy equipment experience an asset.
•
Forklift Certification required; Class 1 Driver’s License an asset.
•
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•
Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
•
Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
•
Ability to work early mornings (6:00 a.m.) and some shifts starting at 1:00 a.m., including overtime, weekends, and
holidays as required.
•
Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in varying conditions (dust, noise, heat).
•
Must use protective equipment when required and follow all safety procedures.
