The Senior Financial Analyst are responsible for performing a variety of tasks that help to make sure the company’s finances stay on track. You’ll be a key member of the team as you’ll demonstrate your attention to detail and focus on strategy through your analysis and recommendations. Senior Financial Analyst job description This position reports to the CFO. Lead in preparing operational forecasts/budgets and capital budgets. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Daily, weekly, monthly reporting and report production, modeling, and financial analysis. Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates with the use of data visualization tools (PowerBI) if possible. Analyze and validate capital projects. Work with and provide cross functional teams with relevant financial analysis and reports. Manage the activities of the Accounting Generalist responsible for daily analytical activities. Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis. Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous financial analysis reporting improvements through automation/data tools that positively impact the timeliness and integrity of financial reporting and analysis. Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan. Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company. Responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for reporting and control. Understand and apply complex concepts. Identify risks, propose recommendations, and solutions to issues. Assure availability of timely and well-presented, high-quality actual P&L, balance sheet, and sales detail results vs. current and prior year benchmarks as well as trended information. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make recommendations. Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefings notes and correspondence. Participate in and contribute to the Leadership Team. Respond to ad-hoc projects for CI/Cost saving initiatives. Demonstrate commitment toward continuously updating knowledge and skills. Other related duties and required or assigned. Expertise and Qualification Required The financial analyst position demands the following skills and qualifications. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. CPA preferred (CA, CGA, CMA, MBA) or equivalent experience. Must have extremely strong MS Excel expertise, any experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools would be a distinct advantage. Knowledge of pricing/budgeting tools and how to reflect operational changes in the models. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. Financial modeling expertise. Ability to analyze and interpret data. Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting. Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems. Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication mastery. Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required. Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
