Production Manager Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is seeking a Production Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals. Here at Eden Valley Poultry we strive to be an Employer of Choice. Through the effective management of targets, goals, people, and production efficiencies the Production Manager will optimize production performance while exceeding our customers’ expectations. The Production Manager will work closely with plant departments and the continuous improvement team to achieve continuous improvement results through the implementation of methods that include Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma. Responsibilities Include: Providing coaching and support to the Production Supervisors to achieve internal and external customer expectations within the strategic framework. Monitoring and communicating daily production requirements. Managing and guiding the Continuous Improvement Leads to identify and facilitate process improvement to drive cultural change. Monitoring data collection and analysis for process mapping, developing budgets and costing analysis to determine project feasibility. Reviewing and conducting root cause analysis data to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation. Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality. Ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations to minimize industrial injuries and meet regulatory requirements. Developing and conducting continuous improvement compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive and sustains results. Preparing production and other reports and develop and manage operating budgets for areas of responsibility. Monitoring and evaluating key process indicators Managing the performance and development of direct reports. Promoting and advocating for quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization. Education and Experience Requirements: Post-secondary degree /diploma in a related the field of Engineering. Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing would be desirable. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills Experience working in a unionized environment. Ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change. Ability to work with and influence others in a fast paced environment, ability to work shifts as required. Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision. Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker. Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams. Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents. Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. Positive collaborator.
